The goal for Italy during WWI was to conquer areas of Turkey and Africa. This did not work at the time and they were also dissatisfied with the ''Treaty of Versailles''. They felt this was unjustified and in this way they started to connect themselves with Germany and Japan. Their war lasted from June 10, 1940 to May 2, 1945.
