Finland

1939 - 1945(1947)

For the Finns, the war started with the invasion by the Soviet Union on November 30, 1939. After fierce and successful resistance, peace was concluded after almost four months, with border areas being ceded to the Soviet Union. The country fought against Moscow again from 1941 to 1944, but this time with German help. An armistice was signed on September 5, 1944, but the war did not officially end until 1947.
